I graduated from mechanic school in Phoenix, Arizona before starting my career as an alignment technician in the Les Schwab store located in Mountain Home, Idaho. I worked my way up to an assistant manager position in the Spokane, Washington store. I was later promoted to manager of the Burien, Washington store and then transferred to Manager of the Coeur d’Alene, Idaho store where I also serve as Area Manager for Northern Idaho and Montana. Today, 30 years after starting my career with Les Schwab, there are over 420 stores. Working for Les Schwab has been an unbelievable experience. I started working for Les Schwab part-time during High School in Headquarters. After leaving for a few years, I came back and started working in the Distribution Center in Prineville, Oregon and over the next 3 years transferred between the Distribution Center and to the Store Accounting Department in Headquarters. Ready for a change, I transferred to our Klamath Falls, Oregon store as a Sales & Service employee. After 1 ½ years, I transferred to Sales & Service at the Bend, Oregon Cooley Road store for another 1 ½ years. After 3 years in Sales & Service, I was promoted to my current position of Assistant Manager of the store located in Madras Oregon, where I’ve been for 2 ½ years. Having worked in several departments of the Company and different stores has really helped me to understand what’s important as a member of management. This company has many opportunities to choose from and rewards those who show teamwork and dedication.
